LC Meter from AADE

As a part of the effort in building a small and portable electronics lab, I’ve been visiting the local post office frequently of late. This week there was something a bit more special waiting for than the usual component shipment or two:

Setting up the temporary workspace

Everything was nicely packed

Every journey begins with a first step (and this case, first solder job in about 15 years)

The board is done and is only missing the LCD display and case

The final product

There was one 2.2pF cap left over from the set and the LC meter measured it at 4.7pF - clearly <10pF is the limit for this device.
